Christian Mentors

Organization Description:

Christian Mentors youth program, designed for children 6-18, offers positive, pre-screened, trained mentors to youth in alternative care homes, single and dual parent families, and families that have been affected by divorce. Christian Mentors trains, fingerprints, and performs FBI background checks on all our Youth Mentors. Youth Mentors are asked to make a one year minimum commitment to the program, and meet one-on-one with their mentee at public locations such as restaurants, parks, libraries, etc. In addition to discipleship, the mentor and mentee spend time on school work and engage in activities, such as playing sports, games, eating together, and talking, that help build a strong relationship.

Adult mentoring is designed to allow adult individuals seeking guidance and mature wisdom to help them navigate life to be matched online with adult Christians who can help gain wisdom in areas such as walking in Christ, family challenges, being financially responsible, dealing with career issues and challenges, accountability and advice in areas of strongholds and temptations, etc. Having a mentor can help eliminate the feeling of having to tackle life on our own. It can lead to real change and growth in all these areas of life, and more.

Christian Mentors is the only organization offering churches a web based plug n play mentoring portal which is designed to be integrated within the churchs own website. Here are just a few of our services offered to churches: Online Registration to become a Mentor or Mentee, Online Orientation program, Online Training program, fingerprint and FBI background check, automated requests for references, automatic collection and viewing of participant status reports for administrators, and most importantly, browse mentor/mentee profiles for online matching.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to provide properly trained and equipped mentors to families and individuals in need of positive role models for their children or themselves, and to assist churches in starting their own mentoring program via a web portal provided by Christian Mentors. Through our mentoring program, we hope to strengthen the family unit by providing practical tools and guidance to equip adult individuals in their life walk with Christ, equip parents for parenting, and teach adolescents how to become responsible, spiritually healthy adults through seminars and family retreats with dedicated guest speakers.

Organizational Statement of Faith:

The Bible to be the only inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God. That there is only one God, Creator and Lord of all, who has revealed Himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ as true God and true man, His incarnation and virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His imminent personal return to earth.

That the Lord Jesus Christ died and shed His blood as a sacrifice for sin, and that we are justified by grace through faith in Christ alone, apart from any human merit.

That the regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the salvation of lost and sinful man, through the repentance from sin and the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. In the present ministry and gifts of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is able to live a godly life.

In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal separation.

That the church, the spiritual body of which Jesus Christ is the head, is bound together by the Holy Spirit consisting of all who are born again, and that, He is constantly purifying and preparing the body of Christ for His return.
