WHO WE ARE
CGID is a 501(C) (3 ) non- profit organization who wants to change minds, practices and lives. We are working to increase the capabilities of poor and marginalized people to use and control communication in order to bring about sustained social change that makes their lives easier. We believe that the public and private dialogue through which people themselves define who they are, what they need and how to get what they need in order to improve their own lives. CGID utilizes dialogue that leads to collective problem identification, decision making and community-based implementation of solutions to development issues.
OUR GOAL
CGID initiatives help strengthen family relationships, the relationship between people and their environment, and the relationship between people and God. What we do helps develop well-being and prosperity in Haiti and abroad; providing support for Haitian people is one of our priorities; develop working skills for young adults to become self-sufficient and contributive member of society.
universal solidarity: our actions contribute to the fight against hunger, poverty and inhumane and degrading treatment; CGID also contribute to sustainable development,
by educating peasants, students, churches and communities about global issues, our role in the environment, and energy efficiency. CGID will assist in environmentally sustainable economic development and implementing programs that are economically beneficial. Thereby, improving living standards for the participants by the careful management, rather than the exploitation of their natural resources. We believe this is the only way to save and restore our threatened natural resources.
