Communities In Schools - Charlotte-Mecklenburg
Communities In Schools (CIS) addresses the physical, emotional, and academic needs of students by providing a safety net of support for our most vulnerable student populations, with the ultimate goal of helping students succeed in school and graduate from high school. CIS believes that all students need and deserve five basic resources to succeed in school and in life:
* A one-on-one relationship with a caring adult
* A safe place to learn and grow
* A healthy start - a healthy future
* A marketable skill to use upon graduation
* A chance to give back to peers and community
To surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
