Organization Description: 

Concerns of Professional Disabled in Uganda (COPD) is an indigenous, Non-Governmental Organisation formed by people with disabilities and those concerned by the problems faced by people with disabilities. The organisation was formed in July 2002. It was legally registered with Kampala City Council in September 2002, Reg. No. LUB/080 and also registered with Uganda National NGO Board in 2010, Reg. No. S.5914/4173. The primary focus of COPD is to empower, support and encourage people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups to be able to respond to their own problems for social and economic development.
