COOL Ministries

Organization Description: 

COOL has been serving Lake County, Illinois for twenty-five years. Our food pantry is one of the largest in the County. We provide emergency food to those seek assistance from two pantry locations: Ingleside, IL and Waukegan, IL. Those seeking food assistance receive four days (twelve meals) of preparable food that is nutritionally balanced for each member within the family. Our pantry in Waukegan is open five days a week and one Saturday a month while our satellite pantry in Ingleside is open on Monday and Wednesday and one Saturday per month. Hours of operation: Monday 1-5 PM, Tuesday-Friday 10 AM-2 PM, one Saturday 11 AM-1 PM.

Our Transitional Housing Program offers up to twelve months of housing and case management for homeless families with children. We currently have eight housing units. We offer life skills training, counseling, budgeting, parenting skills training, and other enrichments to each family while they are housed.
