Court Appointed Special Advocates of Chautauqua Co.,Inc.
Screened and trained volunteers are appointed by the Family Court Judge to advocate for the children thrust into the court system by no fault of their own due to abused and neglect at the hand of their caregivers. Volunteers meet with the children, parents, foster parents, school personnel, medical personnel, clergy, youth pastors, family, friends, caseworkers and law guardians to gather as much information on the child(ren) as possible in order to report to the court on what is in the best interest of the child(ren). The advocate provides concerns and suggestions to the court in order for the child(ren) to receive any and/or all services they are in need of.
Court Appointed Special Advocates of Chautauqua County, Inc., an independent not-for-profit organization supports approved volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children and youth in Family Court in an effort to find them safe permanent homes.
