Mission Statement: 

The Community Volunteer Programme Uganda (CVP Uganda) promotes volunteering as a tool for sustainable development in Uganda .

Volunteers with CVP Uganda work in community development projects in partnership with various community-based organizations in the country.

Partnership for CVP Uganda in Kampala, will be with Kawempe Youth Development Association (KYAD) targeting the urban poor communities in Kawempe. Volunteer placements will be for periods ranging between 2 and 4 weeks. The focus is on improving community waste management, pottery & creative works for income generation, play-therapy with disabled children, environment/climate change awareness, brick-making, behavioural change sessions for the youth/ home visits to address HIV/AIDS and sports with street children.
