DUNK is working based on a triangular method which uses three pillars. Athletic Development, Academic Support and Personal Growth. Athletic Development helps us appeal and reach out to children living in deprived communities. Academic Support. Through tutorial sessions, members are assisted in their studies. Personal Growth. Through Community Service Hours and Life-Skills training, the players are given the tools to impact and influence their peers.

Through play, we focus on 5 core values: Leadership. We believe the children can influence change in their community. Teamwork. In any collective sport, players have to work hand in hand to achieve a common goal. The victory depends on the effort of all. Commitment and Perseverance. Players have to commit themselves to train on specific days and make sacrifices for the benefit of the team. Respect. Coming from different backgrounds, we learn how to respect individual differences as well as respect the rules established by the team. Self-esteem. We are teaching the kids to trust in themselves, to stand up for what they believe and resist peer pressure.
