Eagle Nest Mission Treks

Organization Description:

Why The Name?
‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚"Eagle Nest‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚" for us paints the picture of security and nurture, growth and adventure. It is all about preparation for the future. No eagle comes out of the egg without soon realizing that he is a very special bird. The hunger he feels and the rapidly growing wings he possesses testify to the fact that he is called to fly, to catch the thermals and scale the heights of God‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚’s world.

An eagle nest is a place of warmth and comfort in great heights. A young eaglet will observe the launch of the parent with a sense of wonder and trepidation. Yet he is not left to wonder for long. Just three or four months after he emerges from the egg he is thrust from the nest and his young wings are tested. He is forced into action, and must experience first hand what for many weeks he could only observe. It begins with the initial step into the unknown, then the flapping of feathers, the racing heart, the tumbling in freefall. Then the sudden traction he gets as he spreads his wings, catching the thermal wind (rising from the desert floor) that draws him upward and outward like an escalator 10,000 feet into the heavens.

With maturity will come a crystal clear vision that will enable this young eagle to see a rodent traversing the desert floor a mile away.

We believe God is raising up a generation of world changers‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚—young people of vision who will speak God‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚’s words and demonstrate His heart to the world. We want to provide a safe place for these young lives to discover their gifts, spread their wings and soar for God.

‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚"Don‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚’t you know anything? Haven‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚’t you been listening?
GOD doesn‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚’t come and go. God lasts.
He‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚’s Creator of all you can see or imagine.
He doesn‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚’t get tired out, doesn‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚’t pause to catch his breath.
And he knows everything, inside and out.
He energizes those who get tired,
gives fresh strength to dropouts.
For even young people tire and drop out,
young folk in their prime stumble and fall.
But those who wait upon GOD get fresh strength.
They spread their wings and soar like eagles,
They run and don‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚’t get tired,
they walk and don‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚’t lag behind.‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚"
Isaiah 40:28-31

OUR MISSION STATEMENT
At Eagle Nest it is our desire to see the neediest in our community enfolded and given a safe place to grow, therefore we are committed to the practical demonstration of the Gospel through mercy ministry to needy families and children in our community.

It is our desire to see young people‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚—North Americans and Latin Americans‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚— reached, equipped and mobilized for world evangelism, therefore we are committed to the ministry of Eagle Nest mission treks (www.missiontreks.com) , hosting short term mission teams and fanning the flame of revival among the youth of this region. We believe God is raising up a new generation of young leaders and world changers, and it is our desire to provide a ‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚"safe place‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚" for young people to develop their gifts and find their place in God.

It is our desire to see Mexicans take their place on the stage of world evangelism, therefore we are committed to equipping, resourcing and sending Mexicans to the nations by linking them up with teams from Canada, the United States and elsewhere.

Eagle Nest is a non-denominational Christian ministry devoted to serving the Lake Chapala area through evangelism, training and practical assistance for poor and needy women and children.

This is accomplished in three ways:

‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚•By hosting short term relief teams year round that conduct children programs such as Vacation Bible School, provide practical services such as building and repairing homes as well as feeding the poor, and conducting open air evangelism fiestas in neighborhoods and plazas.

‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚•By operating a ‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚"Love In Action‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚" training and relief center for single mothers and needy children in the Tepehua area that will provide vocational and practical training for moms and weekly breakfasts for children.

‚‚‚‚‚‚‚‚•By providing practical assistance to the LIA Orphanage. For more information on this powerful ministry, click the following link....

Organizational Statement of Faith:

Eagle Nest is dedicated to presenting Jesus personally to this generation, to mobilizing as many as possible to help in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission. As citizens of God's kingdom, we are called to love, worship, and obey our Lord, to love and serve His Body, the Church, and to present the whole Gospel for the whole person throughout the whole world.

We believe that the Bible is God's inspired and authoritative word, revealing that Jesus Christ is God's son; that people are created in God's image; that He created us to have eternal life through Jesus Christ; that although all people have sinned and come short of God's glory, God has made salvation possible through the death on the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ; that repentance, faith, love and obedience are fitting responses to God's initiative of grace towards us; that God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth; and that the Holy Spirit's power is demonstrated in and through us for the accomplishment of Christ's last commandment, "...Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15)
