Emily's Foundation

Organization Description:

Emily's Foundation was established in 1996 after the death of Emily Susan Perez Porter - our daughter. Recognizing the extreme vulnerability of the marriage relationship when both spouses are enduring unspeakable grief, we found no other organization devoted to saving those marriages.

The Foundation's primary service is to provide peer counseling by phone and also provide full scholarships for bereaved couples to attend the Family Life Marriage Conference "A Weekend to Remember" (a division of Campus Crusade for Christ) in the location of their choice.

Emily's Foundation has helped over 500 couples/families to survive, and even thrive, through the difficult years of grieving and healing.
