Who We Are

In 1996, John C. Maxwell and a team of key Christian leaders committed themselves to the dream of developing effective church leaders around the world, and EQUIP was birthed.

EQUIP is a nonprofit organization with the mission of developing effective Christian leaders to fulfill the Great Commission in every nation. EQUIP provides leadership training and resources for international church leaders.

EQUIP is driven by two defining ideals - leadership and partnership. We develop leaders through practical and insightful instruction, high-caliber resources, and innovative training experiences. Our goal is that these leaders are marked by integrity and committed to producing other Christ-glorifying leaders. We partner with ministries and organizations across the globe to train and equip strong and effective leaders to reach the world for Christ.

Partnership: We work cooperatively with other Christian organizations.
Training: We are convinced that the best leaders do not emerge accidentally, but are shaped through insightful focused instruction.
Prayer: We follow Jesus' instruction to pray for workers to be raised up and sent out.
Resources: We endeavor to provide resources needed for effective leadership and fruitful service.
Stewardship: We train leaders where we believe we can make the greatest impact in the shortest time.
Multiplication: Realizing that mere addition will never finish the task of the world evangelism, we are committed to cultivating leaders who will in turn develop others as leaders.
Generosity: We invest generously in Christian leaders worldwide, believing they are strategic to the completion of the Great Commission.
Million Leaders Mandate is a global initiative to train millions of Christians worldwide with the necessary leadership skills to effectively pursue the Great Commission in their communities, workplaces, and churches.

Million Leaders Mandate was launched in Asia in January of 2003 and expanded to Africa, Europe, and Latin America in successive years from 2004 to 2006. Million Leaders Mandate is currently active in over 100 countries on five continents.

EQUIP staff and Associate Trainers(pastors and Christian business leaders) are training tens of thousands of certified trainers in key nations, who in turn will train 25 other leaders each. The exponential result is millions of leaders trained.

In its brief history, EQUIP has already engaged more than one million leaders around the world in its leadership development process. Based on biblical leadership principles, EQUIP‚‚’s training provides visionary leadership to local churches and national Christian organizations. Leaders trained by EQUIP are empowered with the instruction and resources to mentor other national leaders throughout their region.
