F.A.I.T.H. Ministries, Inc.

Organization Description:

From 2001 to 2006, F.A.I.T.H. Ministries, Inc. provided GED, Tutoring, College Prep, Computer, and limited ESL classes to low-income and homeless youth and adults at the Washington Activity Center (Mesa, Arizona) with only individual contributions and in-kind donations. The evening classes of 5-10 students were 2-hours for 10 weeks with Saturday morning reserved for tutoring. Also, we served as the fiscal agent to help the Center procure 10 computers from Motorola for the program.

In the latter part of 2007, F.A.I.T.H. Ministries, Inc. relocated to Casa Grande and created the Waiting to Excel Education Center to provide Adult Education & GED classes and K-12 tutoring free to low-income and homeless families in Pinal County. Our classes are taught by certified teachers two days a week, both morning and evening 3-hour classes. Our students made educational advancements in addition to acquiring their GED.

Through our F.I.N.E.R. (Family In Need Emergency Resource) Services organization, we provide rental/mortgage and utlity assistances, in addition to other housing support services.
