Introduction In our project area number of Orphan, Semi Orphan and Street Children are found. The problem of orphan / street children is acute due to urbanization and industrialization. Due to the deaths of HIV/AIDS affected persons, Re-marriage of deserted / widowed / divorce. Homeless and impoverished orphans in Ghana are in need of care and education. When no relative is able to care for a child, they are forced to live on the street and for that child, all hope is lost. Life is hard enough for a child in Ghana, but with no one to care for them; they are the poorest of the poor. Poverty in childhood is a root cause of poverty in adulthood. Impoverished children often grow up to be impoverished parents who in turn bring up their own children in poverty. In order to break the generational cycle, poverty reduction must begin with children.
VISION Our vision is nothing less than becoming the driving force in education, health and realizing the full potentials of children and youth and their right to protection and development.
Summary This orphanage home aims to provide care, support and protection for 60 orphans& street Children. Seven teachers, classes ranging from crèche to primary five and provides educational support and feeding for all these kids.
Future Stars Orphanage is seeking to adopt innovative and practical ways to assist these children lift themselves out of poverty and give them a brighter future, hence, the name Future Stars Orphanage.
Project Message Being inmate of this orphanage, I regained my birth. I obtained nutritious food, quality education and resourceful life. I got love & affection through my colleagues & organizers in the orphan school. - Hagar Omane one beneficiary
Our request
Future Stars seeks your support and assistance in providing food, shelter, clothing and basic necessities in life for these orphans and destitute children who have no one to care for them. Our requests have been categorized in the needs of the orphanage. This will help us to bring the best in them.
Ghana
1. Teaching and learning materials for the kids which includes, books, stationery, text books and all writing materials. 2. School uniforms for the kids 3. School bags 4. Children recreational play equipment 5. Computers for the school 6. Feeding for the kids (three square meal) 7. Teachers and care takers salaries
8. We need a four plot of land for our orphanage home building project which will consist of classrooms, ICT centre, library, playground, a farming project to help provide some food for the kids ( poultry farming, goat farming, subsistence farming)
