GA Citizens' Coalition on Hunger

Organization Description:

The Georgia Citizens' Coalition on Hunger has played a key role in campaigning around poverty issues and giving a voice to low-income families in Georgia. We were established in 1974 by a group of concerned citizens in the south west Atlanta community.

The Coalition coordinates several projects: The Umoja Farmer's Market, the Up and Out of Poverty NOW project, the Georgia Vote Connection Center, the Umoja Organic Garden, the Hunger Hotline and the Georgia Human Rights Union.
