Based on a holistic model of empowerment with the principles of asset-based community development, Galveston Urban Ministries was established to assist the under-resourced and marginalized on the Island through a variety of programs, activities and community development. Collaborating with various agencies, churches, non-profit organizations and local government services, G.U.M.’s goal is to address gaps of services, which help those who are struggling to rebuild their lives.
