The Genesis
The Guardian Integrated Development and Child Care Organization is an indigenous Community based Organization of Guardians, who have come up to form a strong pressure group, to voice their concerns about rising disadvantaged, needy, and Vulnerable Children, by the sharing the Gospel of Christ and disciplining them throughout the country.

Governance
Gidcco is lead by the Board of Directors, an Executive Committee and a National Secretariat headed by the Executive director.

Methods of Empowerment
Gidcco works with guardians, Religious leaders and local communities to identify viable activities that contributes to the empowerment of children to become self reliant, protective and be able to access their rights. Gidcco?s belief is that the child can be better empowered while living in the community.

The Future
The organization aims at drawing all guardians in Uganda, in order to be a voice to vulnerable-needy children. It also aims at providing information about needy children with the aim of letting the guardians understand the children better. Gidcco aims at building a National Voluntary Religious and democratic Organization of guardians by reaching out all guardians in Uganda.

The Vision
The vision of the Organization is to promote, further and give guardians the opportunity to develop and share the spiritual social economic and intellectual ideas about needy children in Uganda. It also generates issue which helps in improving the life of the children, protecting their rights through internal knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Faith Statement

WE BELIEVE IN:

The Bible as holy, inspired Word of God, its infallibility and inerrancy in accomplishing God's purpose of giving man the revelation of God in His redemptive love through Jesus Christ.

We believe the Scriptures are God-breathed and profitable for doctrine, reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that we may be thoroughly furnished for every good work.

In accordance with the Bible One God Almighty in three persons:

God the Father Maker of Heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible.

God the Son, Jesus our Lord begotten of the Father before the world was, true God from true God, put on human flesh and dwelt among us, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again, He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of His Majesty on high. He will come again in power and great glory.

God the Holy Spirit, giver of life worshipped together with the Father and the Son.

The Universal Church of God, the new creation begotten again by the Holy Ghost and the communion of saints.

The remission of sin through faith in the shed blood of Christ Jesus whom God set forth to be the propitiation for the sins of the whole world declaring his righteousness; that He may be just and the justifier of Him who believes in Christ Jesus.

The resurrection of the dead; the righteous unto everlasting life at the appearance of our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ and the unrighteous unto eternal damnation at the end of the age.

The eternal judgment of all mankind: God will judge the world in righteousness and reward every man according to his deeds by Christ Jesus.

The life of the world to come.

According to His Promise, we look forward to a new Heaven and a new Earth where righteousness dwells.
