Global Transformation Mission

Organization Description:

Global Transformation Mission was birthed out of a yearning to see Christians involved in the Transformation process of our cultures and nations. Daniel, the Founder and president of Global Transformation Mission (GTM), has a desire to see believers fully involved in the "Father's Business" in the seven mountains that make up every nation (Marketplace Ministry). These mountains are Government, Business, Media, Education, Entertainment, Religion and Family.
Further, GTM wants to see churches and christian NGOs and ministries involved in Transformational Development that takes into account the economic, social and spiritual transformation of the underprivileged. The bitter falling-out between fundamentalists and followers of the so-called ?social gospel? early in the 20th century has affected the church to this day. One branch claims that nothing is as important as leading individuals to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. The other side stresses that the calling of Christians is to care for those who are poor and to seek justice. Both sides have it partly right -- but neither has the whole picture. Holistic Transformation overcomes this long-standing divide by reaching out with the whole gospel to the whole person. Through different training sessions and seminars, GTM will see to it that local churches and Christian NGOs/ministries grasp this truth.

In addition, Daniel and the entire GTM staff have a passion to raise up a new generation of leaders (Leadership Development), who are Kingdom-minded. While many people can be called leaders, Daniel, through his experience with different leaders, has come to the conclusion that not all are Kingdom-minded. Some want to build their own kingdoms, others started well but because of the cares of this world, they have diverted to pursue worldly gains. For this reason, he began to train, mentor and guide younger leaders that God is bringing into his life. He is committed to raising up a new and unselfish generation of younger leaders from all mountains/spheres of cultural influence.

Global Transformation Mission?s department of Christian Faith and Public Policy engages in determining new issues that are antagonistic to or challenge our Christian faith and creates a platform for promoting informed, biblically grounded action and dialogue in the public policy arena. We hope to provide guidance and support for addressing the issues faced by our people that more deeply reflect our faith, and to enrich and challenge our faith through exposure to public policy issues. Some of the issues that need our attention and policy makers struggle with include but not limited to: Abortion, family values, same sex marriages, economy, environment (creation care), genocide ideology, reconciliation, peace and justice and so many others. The goal of discussing and taking action on these issues is to help one another "seek shalom" for local, national, and global neighbors (Jeremiah 29:7).

Global Transformation Mission carries out research in areas of Christianity and culture, the role of the church and Para church organizations in poverty alleviation, creation care etc. While research is very important and necessary to make informed decisions and to design effective programs, GTM found out that this valuable enterprise is lacking within different churches and Christian organizations in developing countries particularly in Rwanda. It is nearly impossible to find resources that can help in designing different programs geared to transform culture, alleviate poverty and care for creation that have a biblical perspective. For this reason, GTM will endeavor to carry out research projects and build a resource center where believers, churches and ministries can get data to guide their decision-making efforts.

Mission Statement:

MISSION

Global Transformation Mission (GTM) exists to train and equip the Church to transform culture and society to conform to biblical truth.

VISION

GTM?s vision is to develop leaders, prepare believers to serve God in the Marketplace and minister to the underprivileged through training, teaching and sensitizing.

Organizational Statement of Faith:

1. We believe that scriptures are inspired by God and declare his design and plan for mankind.

2. We believe that there is only one true God?revealed in three Persons...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).

3. We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God's Son Jesus was both human and divine.

4. We believe that though originally good, man willingly fell to sin?ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.

5. We believe that every person can have restored fellowship with God through salvation (trusting Christ, through faith and repentance, to be our personal Savior).

6. We believe that sanctification initially occurs at salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christ- like.

7. We believe a final judgment will take place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment (in a punishing lake of fire).

8. We believe and look forward to the perfect new heavens and a new earth that Christ is preparing for all people. We will live and dwell with him there forever. 'And so shall we forever be with the lord!'

9. We believe that all aspects of our lives are to be lived to the glory of God under the lordship of Jesus Christ.

10. We believe in making disciples of all nations (Mat.28: 19-20). We believe that the discipling of nations as stated in the Great Commission involves both personal evangelism and the addressing of whole cultures and nations as represented in the Word of God, both Old and New Testaments. We believe the redemptive work of Christ can change men's God-ordained institutions of government and culture even as it changes the hearts of men and women (Genesis 1:26-28; Isaiah 9:6-7; Matthew 28:18-20).
