Mission Statement:

Goldfields Alliance is called by God to make a difference:
To be a light to lead people out of darkness.
To be a people who honour God, a family who value friendship,
a people willing to grow and mature
with a heart to serve each other and the community in which we live.

Organizational Statement of Faith:

There is one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Mtt.28:19.

2.2.2. Jesus
Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died upon the cross, the just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures. He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on high as our great High Priest. He will come again to establish His kingdom of righteousness and peace.

For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. 1 Peter 3:18

2.2.3. The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is a divine person, sent to indwell, guide, teach, empower the believer, and convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment.

Jesus Christ is our __baptiser__________in the ___Holy______ ___Spirit_______
"I (John) indeed baptized you with water, but He (Jesus) will baptize you with the Holy Spirit".Mk.1:8

2.2.4. The Bible
The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice.

God has revealed Himself to us in the __Bible___________, which is His Word and is our standard for what we believe and how we live.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Tim.3:16,17

2.2.5. Man
Man was originally created in the image and likeness of God, he fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful nature, are separated from the life of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ. The portion of the impenitent and unbelieving is existence forever in conscious torment; and that of the believer, in everlasting joy and bliss.

So God created man in his own image. Genesis 1:27a

2.2.6. Salvation
Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all men; and those who repent and believe in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God.

1) We respond to God’s love by _____declaring______________ our need for him.
2) We respond to God’s love by _____turning______________ from our sins.
3) We respond to God’s love by ______inviting_____________ Jesus into our lives.
4) We respond to God’s love by _____fellowship_______ with him and with his people.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. Jn.1:12.

2.2.7. Sanctification
It is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit and be sanctified wholly, being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to the will of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service. This is both a crisis and a progressive experience wrought in the life of the believer subsequent to conversion.

Sanctification is the act and on-going process of being set apart for holiness.

"And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth". Jn.17:19.
For this is the will of God, your sanctification. 1Thess.4:3.

2.2.8. Healing
Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the mortal body. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures and are privileges for the Church in this present age.

We believe in divine healing. Our physical strength, life and healing is in Christ until our life work is completed. We also acknowledge the Sovereignty of God. Our normal practice for seeking divine healing is outlined in James 5:14 & 15:

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

2.2.9. The Church
The Church consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the Gospel to all nations. The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the Gospel, and observance of the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:41–42

2.2.10. Resurrection of the Dead
There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment.

Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out--those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned. John 5:28–29

2.2.11. Second Coming of Christ
The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent and will be personal, visible, and premillennial. This is the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth, which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service.

History is heading towards a climax: the return of Jesus Christ as Judge. God has told us in His Word that we don’t know when this will happen. When Christ returns, or at our physical death, our spiritual state is fixed for eternity. Those who have believed in Christ go to the presence of God (heaven) and those who have not, spend eternity outside the presence of God (hell).

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thess.4:15-18

2.3. Unity, Liberty, Love
2.3.1. In essential beliefs - we have ___unity____________.
If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Philippians 2:1,2

2.3.2. In non-essential beliefs - we have ___liberty (freedom)____________.
Accept the person whose faith is weak, without passing judgement on disputable matters...Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please his neighbour for his good, to build him up. Romans 14:1,19-15:2

2.3.3. In all our beliefs - we show ____love___________.
And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. Colossians 3:14,15
