GRANS INC.
What GRANS Inc. does is pull from other resource groups that many grandparents don?t know are available. For example, food stamps, TANF., food banks, legal services, and support groups to walk them through the tough issues they will face with raising children in this day and age.
Locally on the coast the needs are high for after school programs for tutoring and or mentoring. GRANS Inc. can implement several programs designed with grandparents in mind, or other relatives raising relatives.
With GRANS Inc. we can pull together and with our knowledge, exchange ideas and issues they are having with the children they take care of, be it school or home. There are so many challenges that face our children today. School is much tougher today then it was years ago, and with crime on the rise, teens struggle with the day to day peer pressures and how to handle all the drug related struggles and know their rights.
Purpose of GRANS INC. is to help grandparents raising grandchildren and other relatives raising family. We are a support and referral service. A non profit organization that is here to help the relatives raising relatives find the resource available to them. Our mission is to promote grandparent raising grandchildren to reach above and beyond to be the best that they can be.
