Habitat for Humanity/Rogue Valley
Habitat for Humanity/Rogue Valley is not a charity or a handout program, but a handup program. HfH/RV builds houses in partnership with Jackson County families in need. Volunteer labor is used to build houses to keep costs low, and upon the completion of a Habitat house it is sold back to the family at a 20 year, no interest loan. Habitat partner families also invest hundreds of hours of "sweat equity" into building their own houses and the houses of others.
Habitat for Humanity/Rogue Valley is a ecumenical Christian ministry dedicated to making home ownership possible by drawing together people of all faiths and backgrounds to build affordable homes in partnership with those in need.
"Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with people in need by building and renovating houses, so that there are decent houses in decent communities in which every person can experience God's love and can live and grow into all that God intends." - Habitat for Humanity International
