Hand Up Ministry
The goal of Hand Up is to provide services not available by means of State or County organizations. We work in conjunction with the local food bank through Compassion Coalition and City Hope Fellowship (a Four Square Gospel Church) of Utica, NY. By attending these Food Distribution services held every third Wednesday from 6:00-8:30, we are able to speak with those seeking food in order to see if they need additional items. These additional items include: clothes, appliances, prayer, money, etc. Hand Up has been in operation for 3 years.
Our Mission Statement can be found in Matthew 25:35-36 "For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me." (NLT)
It's not a hand out...it's a Hand Up.
We believe in the Holy Trinity of God - God the Father; God the Son; and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus is the only way to the Father as found in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
