Hannah's House
In 1990, out of concern for unborn babies and their mothers, founding pro-life board members explored the possibility of opening a shelter. It was their desire to offer homeless, pregnant moms a haven of security, comfort, and stability in a loving, supportive, structured Christian home. The ministry was incorporated October 18, 1991 and after careful planning and research our doors opened on July 17, 1995.
Homeless women may stay at Hannah's House throughout their pregnancy and up to nine months after they give birth. If the birth mom choose to release her baby for adoption, she may stay at Hannah's up to six weeks after giving birth.
Hannah's House is open to all pregnant, adult women aged 18 years or older who are in need, regardless of race, religious beliefs or financial status.
The average woman stays at Hannah's House for a period of about 11 months.
We are a Christ-centered haven offering hope and help to homeless, pregnant women. The love of Christ is offered through the provision of transitional shelter, food, clothing, guidance, opportunities for spiritual growth, access to various support services, and education in parenting and life skills.
We are a faith ministry and believe in one God, Creator and Lord of the universe; the co-eternal Trinity; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible is God's authoritative and inspired Word; it is without error in all its teachings. We believe that Jesus Christ is God's Son, that all men are sinners, and that justification is by grace through faith in Christ alone.
