Harbor of Hope

Organization Description:

Harbor of Hope began when students from Andrews University responded to God’s call and started by literally going door to door and praying with people. Our first church service was held on Dec 7, 2003 as New Plant Seventh Day Adventist Church at our current location in Benton Harbor, an urban environment in southwest Michigan.

We meet for church on Saturday and host basketball ministries on Wednesday and Thursday evening. We have a dynamic, VBS-style, Saturday afternoon children's program called Kids Zone, which teaches inner-city kids valuable lessons in spiritual and personal development.

Vision: To seek God’s Spirit through prayer, To connect with our community, reach the children and teens, reach their parents, equip their parents to be ‘pastors in their homes,’ and finally to equip every member to be a minister to their own community.
