Healing, Love, Forgiveness Ministries, Inc.

Organization Description:

Healing, Love Forgiveness Ministries, Inc. (H.L.F.) was formed on May 1, 2013 to address the chronic stress induced injuries and illnesses brought on by experiencing vicarious traumas that affect first responders, helping professionals and caregivers. A first responder is an employee of an emergency service who is likely to be among the first people to arrive at and assist at the scene of an emergency, such as an accident, natural disaster, or terrorist attack. First responders typically include police, firefighters, military and emergency medical responders such as paramedics and emergency medical technicians. Helping professional by definition is: A professional that nurtures the growth of or addresses the problems of a persons physical, psychological, intellectual, emotional, or spiritual well being, including medicine, nursing, psychotherapy, psychological counseling, social work, education, life coaching and ministry. Caregivers are the people who take care of the first responders and helping professionals. By virtue of providing these 'wounded healers' with a forum and the opportunity to receive the care and support they give in their professional and personal lives, we provide and opportunity for communities, homes and individual lives to be restored by the Word and Love of God. Through a series of discussions and practical application scenarios, the H.L.F. team shall endeavor to shed light on the helping human to enable them to reconnect with themselves in ways that enhance self-love, self-awareness, and self-acceptance. Through this process the H.L.F. team will provide education relative to chronic stress management and how to eliminate stress induced illnesses and injuries by assisting the participant with beginning their individual journey toward wholeness.
