HELP Adult Services

Organization Description:

In 1982, Mrs. Marjorie Kiewit, Mr. Willis Strauss, and several other Omaha community leaders collaboratively started an outreach program, now known as HELP Adult Services, to help provide independence and peace of mind to women and men who were frail, elderly, low-income and lacked financial resources or were unable to access services that they might need to remain safely in their homes. Our mission is to help individuals optimize their independence and quality of life. HELP Adult Services two major programs emerged from those early years and continue today serving residents who primarily reside in Omaha and eastern NE & Council Bluffs and southwest IA. Each year, more than 9,200 individuals are served through the Health and medical Equipment Loan Program, or H.E.L.P and the Respite Program (which includes the Companionship and Friend Connect programs).
