Hope For Youth
In spite of the typically transient lifestyle of the youth we serve, we proactively maintain relationships with our youth regardless of their location within the Houston metropolitan area.
To challenge and enable disadvantaged youth to reach their full potential academically, socially, and spiritually through Christian mentoring relationships.
We believe that the Old and New Testament are the inspired Word of God,
and are without error (II Tim 3:16).
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son
and Holy Spirit (Deut. 6:4, Matt. 28:19).
We believe that Jesus Christ is both God and man (John 1:1, 14)
We believe that His death on the cross and His resurrection (I Cor. 15:14)
provide the only way of salvation (Acts 4:12) for all who believe in Him and trust Him
as their Savior (Rom. 5:1, 8; John 1:12).
We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates believers in Christ (Tit. 3:5.6) and
empowers (Gal 5:25) them for life and service (Eph. 3:16).
In everything we do we seek to glorify Christ (I Cor. 10:31), be obedient to His Word (Psa. 119:9),
and live a life worthy to be imitated by others (Eph. 4:1; I Cor. 11:1).
Because of the nature of working with youth, we believe and personally practice abstinence
from pre-marital sex (I Cor. 6:18; Heb. 13:4), cohabitation,
homosexuality (I Cor. 6:9,10), and illegal drugs (I Cor. 6:19,20).
In these and all situations we want to live uncompromisingly righteous lives (Tit. 2:11-13)
