Hope's Haven

Organization Description:

The purpose of Hope's Haven is to introduce abused and neglected children to the life-changing and healing reality of Jesus Christ and to help equip them to have meaningful, productive lives. We do this through a back-to-nature, fun-filled camping experience.

All campers are wards of the court, and most are living in group or foster homes. Hope's Haven provides these precious children an opportunity to meet the Lord through an outdoor camping experience designed especially for them.

The campers hear about Jesus' love through worship, Bible study, verse memorization, time spent with counselors and lots of FUN! Activities include hiking, crafts, swimming, games and much more.

The camp week is held at Camp Hebron in Halifax, PA. The camper to counselor ratio is 2 to 1, with only up to 24 children per week, creating a safe environment and the ability to provide much needed attention. Each child is invited back each year until they graduate from high school.

The entire camping experience is provided at no charge to the child or agency and is funded by churches, individuals and groups that support the mission of Hope's Haven.

Hope's Haven is a Christian, nonprofit organization and is not affiliated with any church or denomination.

Organizational Statement of Faith:

We Believe...

In the Holy Scriptures as inspired by God, infallible in every respect, totally inerrant, and the only supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

In one God, eternally present in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Lord Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His resurrection, His ascension, and His personal return to this earth in power and glory.

That salvation is received for lost and sinful man through the blood Jesus shed for our sins by faith, apart from works, and the regeneration by the Holy Spirit.

In the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ.

The unity in the Spirit of all true believers, the Church, the body of Christ.
