Huron Forest Camp CedarRidge
Located in the heart of the Huron National Forest in northern Michigan, Huron Forest Camp CedarRidge is a summer camp that provides a wonderful camp environment for teaching Christian values and life skills and for changing lives.
Campers gain hands-on expertise in a variety of activities, from canoeing and riflery to archery and outdoor living skills. A low camper-to-staff ratio allows staff to mentor campers, encourage individual character development, and build lasting friendships through cabin time and team-building initiatives. Our Bible studies assist campers in their spiritual growth by giving them opportunities to ask deep questions in a safe setting. Rustic but comfortable, HFCC offers campers the opportunity to experience God in the middle of His creation.
Huron Forest Camp CedarRidge exists to provide a safe camp environment where children and adults can experience the love of God in Christ.
We value:
A personal relationship with God in Christ that affects every phase of a person's life.
A commitment to quality and integrity that honors God.
A natural rustic site that enables all to experience God's creation.
A low camper-to-staff ratio that facilitates and encourages the development of non-denominational and interpersonal relationships.
Programming that promotes growth through safe, non-competitive skill-based activities.
Promotion of child-like wonder, delight, laughter and fun that allows all to experience the joy of knowing the Creator.
At Huron Forest Camp CedarRidge, board members and camp workers serving in any capacity shall be committed to Christ and His service and seek to manifest the kind of life expressed in Romans 12:10-12
We Believe:
In one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man
The scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God, inerrant in the original writings, and of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
Man was created in the image of God; he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born in sin and this sinful nature is the origin of all sinful acts in thought, word and deed.
The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.
All who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God.
In the bodily resurrection of Christ and His ascension to heaven and in His present work as High Priest and Advocate.
In the personal return of Jesus Christ.
In the bodily resurrection of the just to everlasting blessedness, and the unjust to everlasting punishment.
Since many denominational groups are involved in Camp CedarRidge programs, Camp CedarRidge staff members are asked not to promote or practice denominational distinctives which are not found in the Camp CedarRidge Statement of Faith. We encourage the unity we find through the Holy Spirit by adhering to the basic beliefs we hold common.
