Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers of SW PA

Organization Description:

Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers (IVC) is a Community Partnerships program of Family Services of Western PA and one of over 600 Faith in Action (www.fianationalnetwork.org) programs across the country. IVC's goal is to help seniors stay living independently at home and feeling connected to the community. IVC volunteers are matched with seniors and help by providing rides to medical and other appointments, assisting with grocery shopping, providing friendly visits, and conducting home safety checks. Volunteers and their senior care receivers often become friends and find out that everyone benefits from the volunteer match.
