This is a long-term projectaiming on HIV surveillance. Specifically, our work is about screeningand counselling HIV/AIDS, making follow-up visits on HIV victims andmonitoring HIV/AIDS such as CD4+T-cell counts/fraction, HIV viral load as well as the compliance of HAART. All activities are conducted by certified doctors, HIV/AIDS Testing and Counselling (HTC) providers and community health volunteers under the supervision of county health ministry.

First, the HTC providers will do the HIV screening test and counselling. Then HIV positive clients will be given a follow-up form (See attached form) and be referred to a health center for continual medical care. In our organization, Mr. Erasmus Caxton who is a qualified HTC provider will collect and present the forms to Dr. Webela and other certified doctors. After the clients are connected to their preferred health centers, we will collect HIV/AIDS related information from those health centers with the consent of our clients. We shall monitor the progression of HIV/AIDS of our clients and make individual counselling.

Our goal is to promote the health of the community and to arouse public awareness of HIV surveillance. Through our work, the follow-up rate of HIV/AIDS and compliance rate of ARVsshall be improved among our support groups. This project is for community heath only and is not associated with any research or business project.
