JDFR Northern NJ & Rockland County Chapter
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is dedicated to funding research and education in the progression toward a cure for diabetes.
The Northern New Jersey & Rockland County Chapter was established by parents who identified direct funding of cutting edge research as the key to finding a cure for their children and those they loved. Our chapter is proud to serve the communities of Bergen, Passaic, Sussex and Warren Counties in New Jersey as well as Rockland County in New York.
The Chapter is one of 100 affiliates in the United States and internationally. We are governed by a Board of Directors, composed of 23 members, all adhering to the bylaws set by JDRF headquarters in New York.
Each year the Northern New Jersey and Rockland County chapter coordinates events to raise money for research. In fiscal year 2006, the Chapter was recognized for being one of the top fundraising chapters in the country for JDRF.
The chapter also acts as a resource for information, referrals and support.
The JDRF Northern New Jersey and Rockland County chapter is committed to help families and individuals who are dealing with type 1 diabetes.
