Organization Description: 

Jolly Children’s centre is a Community Based Organization (CBO) operating in Uganda. Founded in 2009 to improve the lives of orphans and vulnerable children. Since its inception in 2009 the organization has been operating in rural areas with rural poor families and disadvantaged children such as orphans and vulnerable children, infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and poverty . We are providing orphans and vulnerable children with free education, scholastic materials, beddings, clothes and school feeding.

VISION: To offer quality services to the vulnerable and disadvantaged children of Namayumba sub county Mission statement Support and build the capacity of orphans and vulnerable children to live a quality life and make themselves self reliant through providing them basic needs and practical skills.

OBJECTIVES of Jolly Children’s centre ï˜ Provide formal and informal primary education to OVCS. ï˜ Increase easy access to learning materials ï˜ Build the capacity of HIV/AIDS orphans to live a quality life and make them selves self reliant ï˜ To advocate for the rights of the marginalized and vulnerable children ï˜ Ensure Health services to children living with HIV/AIDS ï˜ Increase HIV/AIDS awareness among the marginalized and disadvantaged Children. Activities: ï˜ Identify the actual orphans and vulnerable children in the community. ï˜ Community mobilization, outreaches and trainings. ï˜ Providing Formal and inform primary education. ï˜ Providing scholastic materials to OVCS ï˜ Referring and transporting children living with HIV/AIDS to health centers ï˜ Providing school feeding to all OVCS in the school ï˜ Providing beddings and clothes to OVCs ï˜ Conduct the training in tailoring, knitting, weaving and computer literacy. ï˜ Provision of porridge and lunch at school. ï˜ Rearing local chicken and goats at the project
