Kairos Foundation

Kairos Foundation pursues initiatives that lead to develop sustainable skills specially among women for gainful employment with a view to bring about transformation in their own lives and family. In the last 5 years we have trained over 60 women out of which 40 are from rural backgrounds and economically very poor. We reach out to less privileged children in providing tuitions to enhance their academic skills and also basic nutrition . We advocate awareness in Human Rights, safety of girl child and on abortion. Meeting specific social needs which are need based which so far includes solar lights for students using kerosene lamps, Text books, note books, School fees, supporting needy mercy homes and orphanages. Other programs include giving away the Kairos Love Box, a gift to a poor child during Christmas time. So far we have distributed over 1500 boxes and gift packets each box worth about US$ 10. Our outreach to the urban youth through youth camps is another highlighted program. This is done either through camps or adventure camps. These are some basic programs that is not only reaching out to the community in need but also building Kairos Foundation to take on bigger programs as the Lord leads. We dont have a full time staff and all our resource staff are volunteers, some are paid an honorarium while others are just volunteers.
