The Laboratory For Innovative Housing

Organization Description:

The Laboratory for Innovative Housing is located on UNC Charlotte's main campus. We have received a grant from the Department of Energy to use towards our program titled SWIFT, which stands for Streamlined Weatherization Improvement For Tomorrow. We hope to weatherize 800 homes within and around Charlotte. We have teamed up with Habitat for Humanity in hopes of helping low-wage workers, retirees and their families to lower their energy consumption as well as their energy costs.
