Organization Description: 

The Latino Farmers Cooperative of Louisiana Inc. wants to strengthen the capacity among Latinos families in the area of food, urban farming and nutrition. We accomphish this:

1) by improving access to nutritious, affordable, traditional and ethnically foods;

2) by increasing food security among neighborhoods that lack full service food stores;

3) by fostering and developing social and economic justice in programs and services;

4) by generating marketing and processing practices that create more direct and beneficial links between farmers and consumers;

5) by empowering stakeholders to improve their quality of life; and

6) by supporting food and agriculture policies that promote local food production, processing and consumption.
