Life Center of Boston
Our primary service constituency is the inner-city family. Unlike programs that cater exclusively to women and/or children, Life Center programs endeavor to include and, in fact, emphasize the importance of a father's love, presence and participation in every home. We, and all who comprise the Life Center staff (affectionately known as 'Strategists For Life'), seek to reach, teach and mentor parents and children, alike, that we all may become the absolute best at what we aspire to be.
Home of "Strategists For Life", we are a community center that is dedicated to providing instruction and opportunity for 'at risk' youth and families through mentoring and education. As the inner-city ministry of Life Christian Sanctuary, a faith based, non-denominational, 501(c)3 organization, we endeavor to alleviate the atmosphere of hopelessness and frustration that is endemic in the neighborhoods of Dorchester, Roxbury and Mattapan. Through Life Center 'coaching' programs, participants are equipped to move beyond perceived limitations and 'sticking points' that hinder their ability to progress successfully in the areas of family, employment and nutrition.
At The Life Center, we understand that transformation in people and communities will be achieved, only, when a spirit of unity, hope and respect for self and others is fostered. In our passion to accomplish this objective, we seek to partner with donors, sponsors and volunteers who are interested in co-laboring with us to bring about life altering change to the lives of those who believe that 'the sun shines only on the fortunate.'
