Lifeskills Volunteers
Lifeskills Volunteers (LIVES) is a development organization working with volunteers from all over the world. Rather than sending temporary relief in the form of food or money, LIVES sends people to share their skills and experience with local communities. We provide you with the opportunity to volunteer for the needy in a meaningful and sustainable way, while acquiring important life skills. The organization offers volunteer work with partner CBOs in Western region of Kenya locations in Migori, Homabay, Kisumu, Siaya and Nairobi Counties. If you want to make a difference then volunteer with us at Life skills Volunteers!
When you choose to volunteer in Kenya, you are beginning the adventure of a lifetime. A life skills volunteer has carefully designed a program to let you volunteer in Kenya, exploring the country while you serve its disadvantaged people through orphanage care, teaching or medical services. Come home from vacation with more than a suntan and some photos. Come home with the satisfaction of having helped the people of Kenya.
Volunteers must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the program and have at least a high school education. Volunteers participating on the Medical Placement must have appropriate training and certification to be presented to LIVES partner staff on arrival in Kenya. All volunteers must provide a criminal background check to LIVES partner staff on arrival in Kenya. LIVES has a wide range of volunteering projects available in both rural and urban Kenya, including Teaching, Orphanage Work, Sports Education, HIV/AIDS Work, Special Needs, Music Education, Women's Education and Medical Placement.
