Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly

Organization Description:

The Boston Little Brothers provides support to low income elderly Bostonians who have no family. Our programs include Friendly Visitors, Medical Escorts, Emergency food, Special Events and Holiday Parties. We host a monthly Brunch as well as Telephone Reassurance calls and advocacy for those who can not advocate for themselves and need referrals to other services.
Volunteers are the meat of our services. Our telephone reassurance calls, home visitors, social events, Holiday visiting program, and medical escorts are volunteers. The organization began in France with no paid staff and today continues the tradition of service support by volunteers.
