London Catholic Worker

Organization Description:

We run houses of hospitality for destitute refugees, a community cafe, a drop-in soup kitchen, and an organic gardening project. Our work is based in community houses, and we all offer our love, our work and our time voluntarily. We are Catholic Christians, open to all who are open to sharing faith, life and work together in pursuit of our vision and in contributing to the work we do.

Mission Statement:

We are part of the international Catholic Worker movement based on the radical Gospel vision of the sermon on the mount. We offer hospitality to the poor, seeing the face of Christ in each person who comes, trying to respond to Jesus' call in Mt 25. We also try to follow the prince of peace and practice the justice of God by working for peace and justice in the world. We offer a vision so old it looks like new, changing the world one heart at a time. see www.londoncatholicworker.org for more information.
