Luis Palau Association

Organization Description:

We aim to minister in capital cities and other influential population centers around the world, with the goal of letting entire regions hear the voice of God (Romans 15:18-24).

We hold citywide and nationwide mass evangelistic festivals. These are aimed at the whole of the population within a designated area (Acts 19:10). Find out about volunteer opportunities at a festival near you.

We work closely with local churches to follow up each person who registers a commitment to Jesus Christ during our festivals. Trained counselors provide immediate counsel to inquirers and serve as bridgebuilders to channel inquirers into local churches (Matthew 28:18-20).

We work with the whole Body of Christ--with the Church, through the Church, and for the Church (Colossians 1:24-29).

We hold united festivals because we believe the Body of Christ should have an impact as "one Body" (1 Corinthians 12:12-26). Find out about volunteer opportunities at a festival near you.

Our objective in mass evangelism is to help existing churches grow numerically and spiritually and in turn establish new local congregations (Acts 2:37-47).

We believe evangelism should be carried out everywhere, especially in areas where people are ready to respond to the Good News (John 4:35-38).

Using numerous teaching materials, videos, and seminars, we train thousands of local Christians to participate in friendship evangelism, counseling, and discipleship of new believers (Ephesians 4:11-16).

We use mass communications to extend the impact of the Good News to the maximum degree possible, including continent-wide evangelistic outreaches via radio, television, literature, and the Internet (Acts 17:6). Find out more.

We emphasize Christian family living. Most people around the world dream of having a happy home. We preach that Jesus Christ revolutionizes entire families when He is made the center of the home (Acts 16:29-34).

We engage in social action, ministering to families and entire communities, recognizing that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is itself the greatest agent for positive social change (Acts 4:33-35).

We believe our greatest task is to call men and women, youth and children to trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and publicly confess Him as Lord (Romans 10:9-10).

We aim for ministry to top national leaders because of their influence on the population at large (Acts 9:15 and 26:19-20).

We teach the significance and centrality of the indwelling resurrected life of Christ: "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me" (Galatians 2:20).

We teach and practice expository preaching, continually affirming the power and authority of Scripture (2 Timothy 3:14-17).

We conduct pastors conferences and produce Bible commentaries, magazines, and video training series to minister to those who shepherd the Church in the Spanish-speaking world (1 Peter 5:1-11).

We work as a team, following the example of the Lord Jesus and the apostle Paul, who was accompanied by an international team of men as he ministered from city to city (Acts 20:4).

We keep our staff to a minimum and multiply our efforts in partnership with other Christian ministries (1 Corinthians 3:5-11).

We work with other evangelists and have launched Next Generation Alliance -- a partnership to encourage and equip a new generation of evangelists (2 Timothy 1:6-7).

In dependence upon God, we look for the provision of our needs through the prayerful financial support of local churches and Christian friends (Philippians 4:10-17).

As charter members of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, we maintain high standards of financial accountability for the funds entrusted to us for world evangelism (2 Corinthians 8:20-21).

Mission Statement:

Proclaim the Gospel
In dependence upon God, we want to win as many people as possible to Jesus Christ throughout the world, proclaiming His Good News by all available means to the millions of people who have yet to respond to the Gospel.

Mobilize the Church
In dependence upon God, we want to emphasize with the Church the principles of victorious Christian living (Galatians 2:20), so as to stimulate, revive, train, and mobilize the Church to continuous, effective evangelism, follow-up, and church growth.

Equip the Next Generation
In dependence upon God, we want to hold high the banner of biblical evangelism, influencing Christianity worldwide and raising up a new generation of godly leaders, so that the Church's commitment to evangelism will never die.

Organizational Statement of Faith:

* We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God, without error in the original writing, and the supreme and final authority in doctrine and practice.

* We believe in one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

* We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious death and atonement through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, and in His personal return in power and glory.

* We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Spirit are essential.

* We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

* We believe in the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life eternal.

* We believe in the spiritual unity of the Church, which is the Body of Christ, composed of all who are regenerated through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
