Lutheran Services New York Alliance, Inc.

Organization Description:

Lutheran Services New York Alliance (LSNYA) is an association of local Lutheran judicatories and social ministry organizations (SMOs) affiliated and/or recognized by the ELCA and the LCMS in the greater New York area. Each is an independent 501(c)(3) tax-exempt ministry. Alliance members provide human care services including healing of body, mind, and spirit; shelter, food, and clothing; and specialized care to the young, old, infirm, and orphaned.

While corporately independent, member agencies affirm a mutual commitment to faith active in loving service. As signatories to these covenants, the agencies further affirm a nourishing organic relationship rooted in a shared Lutheran heritage. That common heritage includes a commitment to serve congregations and their members, as well as the community at large.

The Alliance members are committed to partner with one another as an identifiable public face and voice for excellence, quality and best practices in Lutheran human care services by joining with congregations, partnering with members, ecumenical, interfaith, and other organizations to develop and strengthen collaborative efforts in the Metro New York area.
