Main Street Mission
Gary & Marilyn Williamson had a vision of feeding the hungry in our area in the summer of 1994. That dream became a reality November 1, 1994 when the doors were opened.
For over 17 years The Main Street Mission, Inc. (MSMI) has been the only facility feeding meals to the hungry in Pope, Yell, Conway, Logan, Perry, and Johnson counties of Arkansas. We provide hot meals 5 days a week. We are one of the prime locations that provide food boxes to people unable to care for themselves because of financial problems. Currently, our facilities consist of a 3300 square-foot building and a 19600 square-foot warehouse. We receive gifts of clothing, household items, and personal items for distribution to persons in financial need at no charge to them. We offer hope, friendship, encouragement, and Christian love to the hungry, homeless, and poor.
Our mission and purpose is to share the gospel and love of the Lord Jesus Christ with all individuals and families that come to us for help while also ministering to their physical needs by providing meals and food boxes. The Mission also strives to fulfill our Christian duty to help the needy by distributing the clothing and furniture that is donated, and by providing needed shelter as often as we can.
We believe there is only one true God, He is the Alpha and Omega the Creator of the Universe, and that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on the Cross as a sacrifice for our sins. We believe we are saved through Jesus Christ.
