Meadow Haven Horse Sanctuary

Organization Description:

Meadow Haven assists law inforcement and veterinarians, as well as people in financial distress who are unable to care for thier animals. The horses are brought here and rehabilitated, retrained and placed if possible. Some horses are too ill, old or on expensive mediactions to place, and so they live here at the sanctuary permanently.
Meadow Haven is truely able to run because of assistance from doners and volunteers. We feel that God has put these animals in our care. We could not stay in business without His assistance, as he has found placements for blind and injured animals which should have been unplaceable. He has also encouraged donations to keep all animals fed in our care.
There are no paid employees, we run entirely by volunteers, doing his will.
We are seeking volunteers to help in our mission, or people who are interested in learning Stable Management as a career. The Director is a Certified teacher, Riding instructor, former Mental Health Therapist, Child Abuse Investigator, and Job Placement Counselor. She is also a published Equine author.
