Mennonite Mission Network

Organization Description:

Mennonite Mission Network is the mission agency of Mennonite Church USA. MMN has offices in Elkhart, Ind., Newton, Kan., and Harrisonburg, Va., along with dispersed staff throughout the United States. We currently support workers and ministries in over 50 countries.
Mennonite Mission Network operates within a context of partnership and relationships: acknowledging one another as equals, recognizing our need for each other, and emphasizing conversations. This is not hierarchical ministry, but relational. Relational ministry works to use the gifts of everyone involved, and encourages learning among all who participate. The goal of our work is to support existing communities of faith, help facilitate new ones by working with local leaders, and see individuals come to know Jesus. We believe that peace and reconciliation are an integral part of the gospel, and we seek to learn from and serve those on the margins as well as the mainstream.

Mission Statement:

Mennonite Mission Network exists to lead, mobilize and equip the church to participate in holistic witness to Jesus Christ in a broken world.

Our goal as the mission agency of Mennonite Church USA is that every congregation and all parts of the church will be engaged in God’s mission across the street and around the world. Our work is focused on partnering with others to equip missional congregations and their leaders to share the whole gospel of Jesus Christ in their culture.

Organizational Statement of Faith:

Mennonite Mission Network is fully committed to the Confession of Faith in a Mennonite Perspective, adopted in 1995.

Mennonite Mission Network has a distinctly Anabaptist approach to mission. We hold evangelism, witness and personal transformation together with peace, justice and social transformation, believing that each of these values have an important place within the kingdom of God.
