MENTORING A TOUCH FROM ABOVE

Organization Description: 

THE MATFA ORGANIZATION GOES INTO THE CALIFORNIA YOUTH AUTHORITY, JUVENILE HALLS AND INTO SCHOOLS TO MENTOR INCARCERATED YOUTH AND YOUTH THAT ARE CALLED AT RISK.

OUR MENTORS IN THE YOUTH AUTHORITY BRING THE WORD OF CHRIST AND THE HOPE TO THESE YOUNG PEOPLE. IN THE JUVENILE HALLS WE GIVE OUR TESTIMONY TO THESE YOUTH TO GIVE THEM THE HOPE THEY NEED TO FIND THEIR WAY. THIS IS THE SAME THING WE DO WITH THE SCHOOLS.

Mentoring-A Touch From Above (MATFA) provides positive guidance, life skills and job preparedness based on moral standards to at-risk and incarcerated youth, teaching them to take responsibility for their actions and returning them as productive adults to our communities.

OUR ORGANIZATION IS NOT A CHRISTIAN NON PROFIT BUT THE OWNER AND MOST OF ALL THE MENTORS ARE CHRISTIANS.

WHAT WE BELEIVE IN IS THE FATHER , THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT. WE ALL GO TO DIFFERENT CHURCES BUT WE LOVE THE LORD.
