The Mildred Franks Foundation
THE MILDRED FRANKS FOUNDATION is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, in good standing and on file, based in North Lawndale. Programs offered by the foundation, motivates and enhances the lives of individuals from ages 13 through 65. Our programs are designed to assist the "at risk" and economically disadvantaged, and produce responsible, productive adults, through self-direction. We are steadfast advocates fighting for better schools, jobs, communities, and a "better day"! We scream for help, but are unheard. THE MILDRED FRANKS FOUNDATION is the voice of those who can not speak for themselves. Our priority is to strengthen the North Lawndale community by developing holistic leaders, and to share that success throughout the Chicago-land area.
To improve the quality of life for ChicagoÂ’s at risk youth in underserved communities. Fight for better schools and jobs. Create a network of post education opportunities, including apprenticeship and drop-in programs. Develop scholastic support and mentorships to develop life skills, leadership, entrepreneurship, and healthy communities.
