The Mission of a Chosen Generation International Ministries

Organization Description:

We are a group of individuals, groups, and organizations that come from several different Christian backgrounds to develop solutions to problems that plague our communities. At the core of our existence is our belief in the the Holy Bible, the deity of Jesus Christ, and the promise of eternal life to those who love God and love their neighbors. We believe that the Creator God has strategically placed within us the desire and the talent necessary to bring social change and we are committed to doing so.

Our endeavor is to unite in purpose at the cornerstone of our faith, and advocate for the human rights of individuals and groups. We will stand against social and institutional contributors to abuse, homelessness, addiction, abortion, divorce, and criminal behavior.

We have purposed to educate families, community organizations, and policy makers on these contributing factors to social injustice. We will also spread the gospel of Christ, supporting other Christian ministries, organizations, or individuals with monetary and developmental resources for their evangelism and advocacy efforts.

Organizational Statement of Faith:

MISSION FOR A CHOSEN GENERATION INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe that the Holy Bible is the Word of God, written by divine inspiration of God as given to the prophets and the apostles of the Old and New Testaments. We believe the scriptures foretell and confirm the coming of the Messiah and were fulfilled by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe the Bible is infallible and without error in its original manuscripts. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks.
We accept, as a whole, those doctrinal teaching on which there has been general agreement among all true Christians. Because of the mission and vision of our organization, we desire to allow the conviction by the Holy Spirit on other doctrinal matters, provided that all interpretation is based upon the Bible alone, and that no interpretation becomes an issue that hinders the ministry to which God has called us.
We believe in one God...
There is one supreme God, existing in three manifestations -- Creator (Father), Jesus (Son), and Holy Spirit. He is a Spirit that is holy in nature, perfect, all powerful, all knowing, existing in all places, eternal and incorruptible. He is the epitome of righteousness and no evil can exist in His presence.

We believe that man in his natural state is unable to please God and is need of a savior...
Mankind was created in the image of God, having spiritual perception, power and authority on earth, and eternal existence. Man's nature, however, is corrupted by his soulish desires, and renders him with an inability to please God. Thus, in the beginning, man was alienated from his Creator by way of his disobedience and that historic fall brought the entire human race under divine condemnation.

We believe that God wrote a plan for man's redemption...
Because of God's love for His creation, He promised to save mankind from their sin, and provide a way for him to become regenerated and renewed. Jesus Christ is the promised Savior and the manifestation of God's Word, who became flesh having been miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He is the Son of God and the Son of Man, hence Jesus Christ is God and humanity joined in one person forever.

We believe that Jesus Christ was a sinless sacrifice and that His blood atones for the sin of mankind...
Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, endured the sufferings of this earth as a man, and voluntarily atoned for the sins of men by dying on the cross as their substitute. He rose from the dead in the same body, ascended bodily into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God the Father as the only mediator between God and man.
We believe that believers in Christ are considered righteous in the eyes of God...
Jesus Christ alone satisfied divine justice and accomplished salvation for all who trust in Him. Therefore, God imputes His righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation, and thereby justified them in His sight. Believers in Christ are the elect of God, His church, the Body and the Bride of Christ.
We believe that water baptism is an outward act of faith and a demonstration of walking in the newness of life...
Water baptism is an act of obedience to the scriptures symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior. It is a representation of the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. Water baptism is accomplished through the full immersion of a believer under water and is the gateway to receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit.

We believe that baptism in the Holy Spirit is promised to all who believe and necessary for salvation...
After the ascension of Christ, on the day of Pentecost, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit of promise to encourage, empower, and edify all believers for generations to come. Through the Holy Spirit, power is appropriated according to one's level of faith. He convicts and draws sinners to Christ, imparts new life and ability to them, continually dwells within them from the moment of spiritual birth and marks them as one God's own until the day of redemption. It is a privilege to be born again of the Spirit and an assurance of salvation. Every believer is called to live in the power of the indwelling Spirit that he will not succumb to the lust of the flesh but will bear fruit to the glory of God.

We believe in heaven and hell...
In physical death, a believer enters immediately into eternal fellowship with the Lord and awaits the resurrection to everlasting glory and blessing. Unbelievers remain alienated from the Lord and await the resurrection to everlasting judgment and condemnation.

We believe in spreading the good news of Christ...
The Lord Jesus Christ will return at an unknown time and receive both the dead and the living who are sealed with the Blood. Until then, He admonishes His people to assemble together regularly for worship, and for mutual encouragement. He commands all believers to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world and to disciple men of every nation.
