Morning After Ministries
MAM is a non-profit organization that provides education and support to those facing value-based struggles (depression, eating disorders, self-harm, and drug abuse among others) through outreach, education and community involvement.
Locally: Through our 8 Session School Program, Understanding and Achieving My Value, Goals and Dreams, MAM is able to meet with at-risk students that are already involved in unhealthy and self-destructive behaviors and/or are at higher-risk regarding family lifestyles. During this time, MAM provides the students the tools they need to make small goals that lead to big changes as well as assist in providing help to those who otherwise wouldn't receive it. MAM also hosts weekly meetings with girls in the Nashville community to provide help in maintaining a healthy support group.
Nationally: MAM provides ENCOUNTER through our music festival program. Bringing awareness and education through our girls only lounge and information booths. We offer panel discussions and for parents, youth leaders, teachers.
MAM has a focus on providing outreach in community education on Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in Fort Yates, North Dakota. Working with the local community, MAM is providing suicide prevention programs and working to provide an understanding of identity and value to combat the depression, self harm, addiction and suicide that is so prevalent in the teens of this community.
Our mission is for every person to know that they are loved and valued and that they can be empowered to make choices that lead to a life full of purpose and joy.
