My Sister's Place
We are a non-profit that serves women, children and the community. We do this by providing a food pantry, clothing, housewares, counseling, employment training, recovery classes, leadership skills. We are starting a new training program in recycling, re-using and re-purposing fabrics and textiles. The women we serve will have an opportunity to gain some realistic training and education in marketing and recycling, while at the same time being able to make a living a wage to support their families without returning to previous negative lifestyles. We are open 5 days a week, from 9 am to 5 pm and we are located on the westside of Indianapolis. We are an all volunteer organization and are supported by the kindness of people in the community. We are currently writing grants to help with the expenses of running these programs.
