Oasis of Hollywood
The extensive programs of the Oasis are reaching at-risk children, teens and impoverished families. The Oasis provides three after-school ?Kidz Klub? programs each week, 2 in public schools and 1 off of our mobile stage. These programs teach social values, ethics and give them tools to turn from drugs and gangs because of our personalized attention and mentoring.
In addition, The Oasis offers Club Zion, a Teen Drop-In Center, providing a safe place for kids to ?hang out?, offering video games, pool, dancing, basketball, music and socialization without drugs or alcohol. Free shuttles are provided after closing at 11:00 PM. Many field trips and camps are also offered to expand the vision of these under-served youth.
Oasis of Hollywood?s mission is to build mentoring relationships to support healthy development spiritually, academically, emotionally, and in life skills. The Oasis, a safe and positive alternative environment offers a variety of programs where inner city youth are encouraged and equipped to meet their goals and dreams and directed away from destructive lifestyles such as gangs and drugs.
